Q: What is the mechanism of retrieving server status?

A: Sockets.
To test a server, the scripts makes a connection attempt to the server using sockets.


Q: Does it have a function that sends out an email when a server goes offline?

A: Yes.
It can send offline status reports or full status reports depending on the application daemon settings.
Please refer to Setting up a daemon section.


Q: Does it have a function that sends out an SMS when a server goes offline?

A: No.
The notifications are limited to emails only.


Q: Does it have multi-users support?

A: Yes.
You can have as many users as you want with rights ranging from server management, daemon settings and user management.


Q: Is it possible to create multiple accounts and have different servers to each account?

A: No.
The server list is shared among all the users.
But anyway, if more people will ask for this feature, we will consider adding it in the next releases.


Q: Can I reorder the server in the list?

A: Yes.
You can drag them around or use the up and down buttons..


Q: Are the widgets responsive?

A: Yes.
UI layouts are build with Bootstrap which is responsive by design.


Q: Can I build my own UI or change the existing one?

A: Yes.
Only and only if you know what you're doing, modify the .html files located under /bins/js/app directory.


Q: Can I get a server status data only (without any UI)?

A: Yes.

Q: I cannot get my daemon up and running. What can I do?

A: Well, it depends ...
You must realize that making a daemon to run periodically the os-cron.php script is not the server monitor application responsibility.
In order to create a cron job please consult Setting up a daemon tutorial or, if your environment is different from what is presented here you might try to find some online resources or even ask your internet service provider for support.
Please do not request WiseLoop support, as we will not be able to help you on this matter.


Q: Are nginx, IIS platforms supported?

A: They should be supported.
Although the solution was not tested on those platforms, the script should work just fine if the PHP requirements are meet.


Q: Which are the supported browsers?

A: It should work fine with any modern HTML5 capable and JavaScript enabled browser.


Q: If I buy an extended license, can I use it in a product that will be sold on codecanyon?

A: Licensing terms are imposed by envato.

A: No.
